Jesus Christ is the head of Magic Valley Bible Church: “[Jesus] is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything (Colossians 1:18; NASB).”
Within the congregation, the care and leadership of the flock is entrusted to elders who are recognized by the congregation: “When they had appointed elders for them in every church, having prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed” (Acts 14:23; Hebrews 13:17; see also 1 Timothy 3:1-7, 5:17).

Assisting the elders are deacons, also recognized by the congregation, who perform organizational duties as directed by the elders (1 Timothy 3:8-13).

Pastor Morton: Thank you for writing and publishing your columns every other Saturday in the The Times News. I always look forward to reading them. They are inspirational and uplifting and straight from Gods word. Often the content makes me question my own walk with God, which is good. I pray that your columns will urge people to seek God and draw closer to his love and forgiveness. God Bless you and your family.
Dave, Thanks for your kind words. Yes the Lord Jesus Christ is our blessing. His Word is eternal and authoritative. May we honor with not only our words but also live according to His Truth. Hope to meet you one of these days. Lord’s blessings on you.
